Also known as colored mulch can run a little more money than other types of mulch, but offers a wonderful way to add dimension and curb appeal to your landscaping. Dyed Mulch provides many of the same benefits as regular mulch. It is safe for pets and children, protects soil temperature, and can be used as a weed preventative. Colored Mulch offers a little more life value whereas the color mulch retains its color for one to two seasons.
Supplied from local mines - ranging from pea size to baseball size. Used for drainage, walkways, and a decorative landscape option.
Mason sand is suitable for use on masonry work, volleyball courts, infill purposes, sandboxes, and beneath swimming pools. It can also be blended with our other sands for horse arena applications. Fine mason sand is a great way to fill in joints between pavers or mix with mortar.
Since it has a smooth finish, pea gravel is also regularly used for walkways, dog runs, playgrounds, patios, and a variety of other high-traffic areas. Like crushed stone, pea gravel can also be used for underground projects, such as drainage and pipe bedding.
This is a naturally occurring stone. The stones vary in color from gray to brown to tan and are rounded and smooth. It is not a crushed stone so it does not have any edges or corners. Common uses covering drain tiles, in dog kennels, decorative ground cover, under decks (visible), or backfilling after waterproofing.
This 2"-3" stone will add power and be the backbone of your landscape. River rock can be used to replace mulch in your flowerbeds, or accents in your landscape. They can be used to divert water in dry creek beds, define edges of walkways or flowerbeds, or add definition to ponds and waterfalls.
This 2"-3" stone is similar to the #3 River Stone. It's angular shape is from the process of crushing the larger river stones to more manageable and consistent sizing.
This soft ball sized crushed stone is a larger option of the #2 crushed stone
Natural crushed stone that is highly compactable. Generally used in construction, driveways and paver base.
#10 limestone is the smallest limestone we carry. It is ¼ minus (¼ inch down to powder). This product can be used for walkways, paver base, retaining walls, and patios. Limestone can change the pH balance of the area where it is installed. It is not recommended to plant in.
#411 Crushed Limestone is great for driveways and brick paver bases. Each piece measures 1″ or less and contains fines.
#304 Crushed Limestone ranges from 3" down to fines. Because it is crushed, it is not round stones. It is the type of stone typically used for driveways and parking lots.
#8 Crushed Limestone ranges in size from 3/8" to 1/2". Can be used as a top dressing over #411 or #304. Primary uses would be for walkways and driveway toppers.
#57 Crushed Limestone ranges from 1" to 3/4". Commonly used under concrete, driveway topper, and backfilling.
Not to be confused with Steel Slag... This is a lighter weight slag that can safely be used under concrete or asphalt. Highly compactable with similar PSI and properties to limestone.
#57 Blast furnace slag is another cost effective option to #57 limestone. It can be compacted for under concrete or asphalt without the risk of gases found in steel slag. It is also an excellent option as a driveway topper.
